Tala Studio
Free · works in your browser

Design ornaments your laser and 3D printer can actually make.

Tala Studio turns a few taps into ready-to-cut SVG sheets and multicolor 3MF print files: parol stars, name wreaths, even a glow-light pod.

What you can make

Real ornaments, not just pictures of them

Every design comes with files your machines can run: cut sheets nested to save wood, print plates with the colors already assigned, and an assembly guide.

How it works

Design tonight, cut and print tomorrow

  1. Design

Pick a style, colors, names and a message. The preview updates as you go, and every part is checked so thin bridges and loose pieces get flagged before you cut.

  2. Download

Get SVG cut sheets with kerf already compensated and parts packed onto a 12 × 12 in sheet, plus 3MF and STL print files with a color for every part.

  3. Make

Cut the wood, print the color, follow the assembly guide. Add jump rings and a ribbon and it is ready for the tree.

Our story

Built at the kitchen table

Tala Studio started as a weekend project for my wife. Her craft hobby kept outgrowing her tools: she wanted parol ornaments that looked handmade, but could be cut and printed in batches for family and friends.

So I built her a tool that does the fiddly part. It packs every piece onto the sheet, sizes each printed tile to drop into its cut opening, keeps the thin bridges strong enough not to snap, and even fits the engraving around the tassel holes. It worked so well that it became a family project. Now it is free for every maker.

Tip jar

Keep the lanterns lit

Tala Studio is free to use. Tips buy wood, filament and late nights, and they decide what we build next.

  • More ornaments: snowflakes, stars and nameplates beyond the parol.
  • Save and share: keep your designs and send a link to a friend.
  • More lettering: extra fonts, and accents for every language.
  • Brighter glow: more light pods and translucent color sets.
